2020 was a challenging year.  Nina lost her job, along with millions of others.  So, what’s next?  For many years during holidays, Nina and her mom made toffee from Nina’s grandmother’s recipe and gave it to friends and loved ones. The reception was always the same; “This is the best toffee we’ve ever had” and “You should sell this!”

With nothing but time, and the 2020 holidays approaching, Nina decided to take a chance on selling it. 

She first tested her toffee against others on the market, and also sought for feedback from local chefs and other foodies – the reception was always positive. Due to the phenomenal response, in November of 2020 she officially launched Cheeky Bits™Sweets!

Nina took the time to test numerous kinds of chocolate, nuts, chocolate thickness, temperature; not to be dramatic, but this toffee is her life. What sets her toffee apart is the love and care that she puts into each handmade batch, along with the high-quality ingredients – nothing more than Guittard Chocolate, California Almonds, Salted Sweet Cream Butter and Cane Sugar. No additives or extras, just the simplicity of four ingredients unless you try our Dark Chocolate with Jacobsen Sea Salt, then it’s five simple ingredients.

Nina makes Cheeky Bits™ Toffee using 38% milk chocolate and 61% dark chocolate. Customarily, Nina has arranged half of each in a 16 oz. package, but you can purchase all milk chocolate, all dark chocolate covered toffee, or our delicious dark chocolate with Jacobsen sea salt in varying size options ranging from the full pound tin to a 3oz bag. In addition, Nina make and sells Cheeky Bits™ O’ Bits; crumbles of our toffee which will match your favorite ice cream perfectly!
